CMS has proposed changes to the 2018 Quality Payment Program (QPP) intended to reduce data entry and paperwork and increase the focus on patient care. The idea of the proposed changes is to streamline documentation requirements and make better use of technology available to clinicians. Ultimately, designed to allow clinicians who use EHR systems to document clinically-relevant information rather than information used only for billing purposes. The proposed changes would affect Year 3 of the QPP program.
