Effective for claims processed with Dates of Service (DOS) on or after July 1, 2020, influenza virus vaccine code 90694 (Influenza virus vaccine, quadrivalent (aIIV4), inactivated, adjuvanted, preservative free, 0.5 mL dosage, for intramuscular use) is payable by Medicare. This new code will be included on the 2020 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule Database file update and the annual HCPCS update.
