In mid-December, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) released their federal exchange enrollment update that confirmed 8.3 million people enrolled under the Affordable Care Act, compared to approximately 8.5 million people at the end of the Open Enrollment Period last year on December 15, 2018. This marks the third consecutive year in which enrollment in the Federal Exchange “remained stable” according to CMS Administrator, Seema Verma.
